Winter Vacation Announced for Kashmir Schools

Srinagar, December 3, 2024 – The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has submitted a formal proposal to the School Education Department regarding the winter vacation schedule for schools in the Kashmir Valley.

The decision has been prompted by the ongoing cold wave and dense fog that have made it challenging for students to attend classes.

As per the proposal, schools for students up to 2nd primary will observe winter vacations starting from December 9, 2024, to February 24, 2025.

For students from 3rd primary to 12th standard, the vacations are scheduled from December 16, 2024, to February 24, 2025.

The proposal has been forwarded to the Principal Secretary of the School Education Department for approval and further orders.

The Directorate has sought prompt action from the authorities to ensure timely implementation of the vacation schedule.
